The best part about making cakes is meeting people like Lindsey. 

Lindsey’s mom tells me that she really likes all those shows on television that have made cakes so popular, and had even designed her own birthday cake.  Lindsey was unaware that her mom had ordered the cake from me, so when they came to pick it up, she was totally surprised.

Lindsey’s first reaction was confusion, then she quickly recognized her cake that she had drawn.  I think I might have seen a tear of joy, as she excitedly started jumping up and down.  She even gave me a hug!

I am told that she had a sleepover and that all of her friends loved the cake as well.  I am just glad to have had a small part in making Lindsey’s birthday  a little brighter.  She was a very nice girl, and I am glad to have met her and her mother.  Enjoy being 13, Lindsey!
