Ah the tropics, beautiful sunsets, fragrant flowers, white sandy beaches. I TRIED to get Bill and Carla of Pocatello to let me deliver their Hawaiian themed wedding cake to their destination wedding, but to no avail. Instead, the reception was held at Sandbaggers. Which is an appropriately titled place for a cake with sugar sand on it. … Continue reading

Aah 30. I remember how it felt to turn that old. How young. How free. How my husband had a friend of mine make me a casket cake with “me” inside of it that said, “may your youth rest in peace”. I remember that I cried. AAAHHHH 30!
Not like that for Elizabeth. Her family ordered this beautiful purple… Continue reading

Just so you know, I don’t know this man, so the nickname “Hotty Scotty” is not my idea. I am simply a cake artist completing your vision.

The best part about making cakes is meeting people like Lindsey.
Lindsey’s mom tells me that she really likes all those shows on television that have made cakes so popular, and had even designed her own birthday cake. Lindsey was unaware that her mom had ordered the cake from me, so when they came to pick it up… Continue reading

The wedding reception was done in black and white damask with white calla lilies. It was so elegant and beautiful, probably one of my favorite ones that I have ever seen.
The cake was a four tier white satin cake of varying heights. Damask was on the top and the bottom tier in black icing. A sugar ribbon accented the middle tier coming together to highlight their monogram, which was hand painted to match the monogram that was used throughout the wedding. Pearls surrounded three of the four tiers. My new favorite wedding cake! Continue reading
Congratulations Tyler and Maritza! They were wed on December 26, 2009.
Their wedding cake was a four tier white pearled cake with snowflakes stenciled on the sides, then hand painted in her custom blue. Crystals adorned the top with a few snowflakes coming off of. The cake was sweet addition for a sweet couple! Best wishes… Continue reading

This is elk head was modeled free hand out of modeling chocolate, then painted with food colorings.
